Terms of Use

Last updated: October 8, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and DAAR (“DAAR”, “we”, “us”), a team based in Iraq, for using thedaar.com and the DAAR app. By using DAAR, you accept these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use DAAR.

1. Who can use DAAR

2. Your account

You sign in with your email address or phone number. There’s no password, so keep access to your email and phone secure. Give us accurate information, use one account per person, and don’t share it. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.

3. Dana is an AI

Dana, your speaking partner, is an artificial intelligence, not a human teacher. Dana can make mistakes, including in corrections and explanations, so use your own judgment. DAAR is a practice tool: it doesn’t award certificates or guarantee test scores or other results.

4. Free sessions and paid plans

Your first three sessions are free. After that, you can buy a plan. The price, what the plan includes (such as the number of exercises and voice minutes), how long it lasts, whether it renews, and the refund terms are shown before you pay, and they form part of these terms. If you buy through an app store, that store’s payment and refund rules also apply. We may change prices for future purchases, but a change never affects a plan you’ve already paid for.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t:

6. Your content

What you say and write in DAAR stays yours. You give us permission to process it to run and improve DAAR, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.

7. Our content

The app, the website, Dana, our lessons, designs and illustrations belong to DAAR. You may use them only for your own learning.

8. Changes and ending

We may change or stop features. You can stop using DAAR and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we close a paid account without cause, we’ll refund the unused part of your plan.

9. Disclaimers and liability

DAAR is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that can’t be waived.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq. If you’re a consumer in another country, you keep the mandatory protections of your local law.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. If you keep using DAAR after that, you accept the new terms.
